“Turtle Cove” SOLD

Texture galore with these three sea turtles meandering through the cove, right where they wanted to be. Originally, I was only going to do an ocean scene, but the turtles were just begging to be put there.

p.s.  there have been several sightings of sea captain faces in the seaweed.  do you see any?

This piece is 100% hand made with, hand dyed, fluffy wool and chunks of felt to make the seaweed, coral, rocks and sand with a layer of silk and bamboo on top (which gives it the shimmer of water reflections!) that then goes through a wet felting process, after that, the turtle details are poked in with a felting needle, and another layer of silk and bamboo and another wet process to make the turtles have the sun reflective look.
